Deborah Gross-Zuchman

Painting has taken me to many physical and spiritual places.
I paint and draw from reality and memory. I look for interesting compositions, beautiful light and shadows and the intimacy found in the details of particular locations.
My collages are made from papers that I paint, cut and assemble in abstracted compositions, but could remind the viewer of landscapes.
I also create works with Jewish themes for special occasions and institutions (paintings, murals and collages), as well as individualized "Blessings" for a newborn, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, weddings and other special occasions.
Check out my original haggadah, The Essential Seder, A Contemporary Haggadah (published by Behrman House).
