Deborah Gross-Zuchman
Painting has taken me to many physical and spiritual places.
I paint and draw from reality and memory. I look for interesting compositions, beautiful light, shadows and the intimacy found in the details of particular locations, real and imagined. My collages are made from papers that I paint, cut and assemble in abstracted compositions, but could remind the viewer of landscapes. Recently I have found myself on a new path. I still love and paint trees, but I am am exploring the fine line between landscape and abstraction. I am concentrating on color, form, space and line: their relationship to each other and the effects on the viewer's perception and feeling. I am trying to reach the essence of painting without identification. I want to take you, the viewer, to someplace deep within your soul. Deborah's work can now be found on InLiquid.com. |
